Utah’s Grace McCallum (gymnast) and Iowa State’s Haylee Hardin (newcomer) collected their second and third weekly accolades of the season, respectively, while Arizona State’s Jada Mangahas (newcomer) earned the Sun Devil’s first gymnastics award of the 2025 season.
McCallum won the all-around with a 39.650 score as the Red Rocks won the Conference dual at home against Arizona. She tallied a 9.90 on vault and bars and posted a 9.925 on beam and floor while she set or tied her season-high marks in three of the four events. In addition to winning the all-around, the 2021 Tokyo Olympian shared the beam title, her 14
th overall title of the season.
Hardin locked her third consecutive Newcomer of the Week as she competed in vault and floor during the Cyclones’ dual meet at West Virginia. The freshman posted a 9.825 to place second on vault while she won the floor title with a score of 9.925. It was her second straight meet that she had tallied a 9.900 or better on floor. Hardin is the first Cyclone to earn the same Big 12 gymnastics honor three times in a season since Andrea Maldonado claimed three Event Specialist honors during the 2020 season.
Mangahas claimed two event wins in vault and bars as the Gym Devils hosted Texas Woman’s. She recorded a season-high 9.875 on bars as her score contributed to the team’s highest score of 49.325 in the event this season. The graduate student from Allentown, Pennsylvania also tallied a 9.850 on vault.
Arizona State, Iowa State and Utah are back in action on Friday as the Sun Devils host the Red Rocks and the Cyclones visit Arizona.
