IRVING, Texas – The Big 12 has extended its agreement to host the Big 12 Gymnastics Championship presented by Allstate at the Maverik Center in West Valley City, Utah, through the 2030 season.

“We are thrilled to extend our partnership with the Maverik Center and continue building on the incredible momentum gymnastics has experienced in Salt Lake City,” said Lizzie Gomez, Big 12 Associate Vice-President of Olympic Competition. “The Maverik Center has proven to be an outstanding championship venue for our student-athletes, coaches, and fans, and this three-year extension reflects our shared commitment to delivering a first-class competitive experience while continuing to grow the visibility and excitement surrounding collegiate gymnastics.”

The Maverik Center hosted the Conference postseason event in 2025 and 2026, marking the fourth time in league history that the event was not held on a school campus. The 2025 Championship saw a record attendance of 7,865, while this year’s event marked the third-most fans in attendance in 29 years of the postseason event.

The Maverik Center has held multiple NCAA gymnastics meets, including the Best of Utah and the Sprouts Farmers Market Collegiate Quad. The arena is also home to the Salt Lake City Stars – NBA G League affiliate of the Utah Jazz – and will be a host venue for the 2034 Winter Olympics.
